Hook: Scud (Tiemco TMC 2457, TMC 2487, or Mustad AC80250BR), sizes 8 to 16.

Thread: 6/0 or 8/0.

Tail: Poly Yarn, sparse and clipped short (One piece of yarn is used for the tail and wingcase and head after whip finishing.).

Body: Orvis Body Glass, Vinyl Rib, or Larva Lace (Favorite colors are black, gray, olive, and orange/ rust).

Wingcase: Same piece of Poly Yarn used for tail twisted tight for a narrow profile.

Thorax: Peacock herl.

Head: Same Poly Yarn used for tail and wingcase, cut slightly longer than tail and cantered over the hook eye similar to an Elk Hair Caddis. Whip Finish between the head and hook eye.
