Jim and I are sorry to have missed my 45th reunion with all of you, but we had already made plans to travel to the Fall Arts Festival in Jackson, Wyoming. The fall color and art are extraordinary.
We are both retired now and love not having to go to work. Jim retired in Dec. of 2004 from Fish and Game and I retired from teaching in Upper Lake in 2007. That summer of 2007 we purchased a new 31 ft. Winnebago motor home and traveled for 5 months. We saw beautiful scenery, visited museums, National Parks, and many scenic areas. We love fishing and enjoyed fishing in different states. I took lots of pictures for future paintings. We enjoyed hiking trails and looking for wildlife and birds. Since that first year of retirement, we continue to travel places we love with our motor home. We sometimes bring our truck and boat with us so we can fish on lakes. I bring art materials with me.
When we are home, I paint in my studio and Jim works around the house on projects he enjoys. We help take care of my elderly parents who need much help to maintain independence. We enjoy getting together with our family for dinners and vacations when they can join us.
Our daughter, Tammy, is an Environmental Scientist working for Fish and Game in Bishop.
We are enjoying our retirement and hope all of you are doing the same. Wishing you all the very best. Hope to make the next reunion.
Sincerely,
Jim and Susan Branston (Beilsten)
