Sunday 23 March 2008
- Happy Easter Everyone! On the road again at 0930 hours. During the day we stopped twice at Alabama road side rests. Once for lunch and once for play time for Lucy. Alabama has very large, clean and inviting rest stops that include parking for the big rigs and RV's, spotless restrooms, and security. The guard approached us as we arrived each time and as soon as he noticed our dog was on a leash, continued on his way. They also stock maps and brochures noting areas of interest in the state. Oh, and one other thing available at the stops...a dump station. I-20 across Alabama is a good highway to drive on.

Around 1300 we entered Mississippi and the highway is good here, also. We kept on driving and just barely entered Louisiana at Monroe and stopped one of those nice road side rest stops for a bite to eat and then westward bound.
