Hello Classmates!
I am proud to be one of twenty-one classmates to have the distinction of attending K-12 in Kelseyville. After high school graduation I worked as a maid at Konocti Harbor Inn before heading off to college in Sacramento. I first attended Sacramento State Univ. and ten other colleges over ten years changing majors just as often. After retirement, my part time job as a substitute K-12 teacher was, like, you know, groovy.

Approximately five years after graduation, I headed to the Midwest to where my parents originated from…Iowa & Missouri. Along with two friends we opened a business specializing in building racing engines and eventually expanded into having an automotive racing parts store and custom built car lot.

Eight years later and terribly homesick, I headed back to Lake County. I thoroughly enjoyed being home and spending the summer with my parents. Looking for employment I was referred to Reno, Nevada for opportunities matching my skills. Well, I've been in Nevada ever since and it was a fine decision. While I had an incredible career in the airline industry, the most outstanding event of my life came when meeting my husband, John. We have been married 29 years and thoroughly enjoy doing many things - camping, fishing, music, reading, writing & building web sites, fostering kids, rock hunting, and traveling.
Proudly we have one daughter, Crystal, and two grandchildren, Madisyn & Logan.

After 35 years of active duty in the military, John retired and we are dedicated to RVing our beautiful USA and partaking in our favorite hobbies. John, Lucy the Lab and I take off for two to three months at a time, first visiting family & friends and then following the good weather and searching for the next best fishing hole.

Happy Days to All,
MaryJane (Funk) Van Emmerik
