Proposal

Carson Fly Fishing Club’s- Fly Fisher of the Year

• Purpose of the Award - To bestow richly deserved honor on the individual for achievement of significant results towards either education, habitat restoration, conservation or enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing within the state of Nevada or the Eastern Sierra of California.
• Frequency of Award - Present to one individual annually at the Carson Fly Fishing Club Banquet.
• Judging Criteria -Selection of the winning nominee will be made solely from the official Fly Fisher of the Year nomination form and attachments. The following criteria will be considered in evaluating nominees:
  A. Time and depth of commitment to education, habitat restoration, conservation or enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing within the state of Nevada or the Eastern Sierra of California.
  B. Influence of the person on the public and in presenting positive public relations in regard to enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing within Nevada or the Eastern Sierra.
  C. Quantity and quality of measurable results of enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing.
  D. Obstacles, difficulties and personal sacrifice involved in meeting enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing goals.
  
• Nominations - Nominations will be accepted only from Carson Fly Fishing Cub member in good standing in August by the Board.
• Selection - The Carson Fly Fishing Club Board will determine the winner of the award by unanimous vote of the Board members during the September Board meeting.
• Award - The winner of the award will receive two tickets the Carson Fly Fishing Club’s annual banquet and will be awarded a fly plate or plaque with the name of the winner on the award.

  President's Award

• Purpose of the Award - To bestow deserved honor on the individual club member that the Carson Fly Fishing Club's President believes assisted the President or the Club for the betterment of the Carson Fly Fishing Club.
• Frequency of Award - Present to one individual annually at the Carson Fly Fishing Club Banquet.
• Judging Criteria - The President of the Carson Fly Fishing Club alone will select the award winner.
• Award - The winner of the award will receive a fishing shirt with the club logo, name and President's Award with year, embroider on the shirt.
