Carl and Irene Jones

Immediately after graduation from high school I spent four years in the Air Force followed by five years of college, first at Santa Rosa Junior College and then Cal State Chico for a Master's degree in Industrial Education. For the next 32 years I taught Automotive Engines and Machining at Bakersfield College. During the summers I worked as a Backcountry Law Enforcement Ranger for the National Park Service, spending time in Yosemite, Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Crater Lake and Lassen Volcanic National Parks.

I've been married to Irene for 31 years and we have four wonderful kids; Lauren, Christopher, Stephanie and Cameron. Christopher joined his Maker in 1986, and his siblings grew into outstanding young adults. Both Lauren and Stephanie have worked for the National Park Service and Cameron is an Ariel Warfare Specialist with a squadron of F18's aboard the USS George Washington. I'm extremely proud and love them more than life.

Now retired from both careers, I spend my time on our property in Glide, Oregon where we are building our dream home and enjoying hobbies; auto racing, dirt bike riding, karate, scuba diving, skiing, flying, backpacking, rock climbing and traveling. So busy, I don't know how I ever found time to work!
